China expands strategic cooperation with Kuwait and Egypt
China is expanding its strategic cooperation with Kuwait and Egypt across various sectors, including infrastructure, trade, and security.
In Kuwait, Chinese Ambassador Yang Xin stated that bilateral relations are accelerating through the alignment of the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ with ‘Kuwait Vision 2035’. Key areas of focus include port development, logistics, supply chains, and construction. While regional developments have impacted some construction works, strategic projects continue, including a water treatment project set to begin implementation soon. Additionally, military and security cooperation is growing, highlighted by the commencement of operations at an ammunition factory in Kuwait earlier this year.
In Egypt, the Governor of Alexandria, Ayman Attia, emphasized the deep historical and strategic ties between Egypt and China during celebrations for China's 77th National Day. Attia noted that Alexandria’s position as a coastal economic hub offers significant potential for expanding cooperation in maritime transport, industry, investment, and cultural exchange.
