China prepares for 2026 APEC summit in Shenzhen
China is advancing preparations for the 2026 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which is scheduled to be hosted in Shenzhen on November 18-19. In response to the upcoming summit, Guangdong provincial authorities have initiated security inspections in Shenzhen to ensure a safe environment for the event. The APEC forum represents a significant economic bloc, accounting for nearly 60% of global GDP and a substantial portion of international trade.
