Preparatory activities intensified with the Asia-Pacific Media High-Level Forum (APMF) in Shenzhen, which brought together approximately 400 delegates from over 200 media organizations and governments representing 42 countries. A significant outcome was the launch of the Asia-Pacific Media Partnership Program, with the Vietnam News Agency serving as one of 16 founding members of its preparatory committee. Participants also announced the ‘Shenzhen Consensus’, which emphasizes regional connectivity, industrial supply chain stability, and digital, intelligent, and green transformations.

During the forum, media professionals addressed the impact of artificial intelligence, noting that AI can serve as a tool to assist journalists with routine tasks rather than replacing the human element of reporting. LKBN ANTARA’s Director of News, Virgandhi Prayudantoro, specifically highlighted the agency’s focus on media transformation, AI adaptation, and maintaining accuracy. Additionally, Prayudantoro held a meeting with Xinhua Deputy Director Xi Yanchun to discuss media cooperation.

In the energy sector, China Southern Power Grid highlighted its role in regional interconnection, noting the construction of 17 high-voltage power channels with Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar to promote clean energy through cross-border cooperation. Other preparatory efforts included the 32nd APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Ministerial Meeting (SMEMM 32) in Guangzhou, centered on digital transformation for SME resilience.
