China: Reports of Falun Gong practitioners detained and harassed

Reports from various regions in China indicate ongoing detentions and harassment of Falun Gong practitioners. In Guangdong Province, Liang Jianjun was reportedly sentenced to three years in prison and transferred to Sihui Prison, where his family has been denied visitation rights. His wife, Cao Liping, also faces judicial persecution.

In Liaoning Province, 60-year-old Huang Jinlin was reportedly abducted and subjected to physical abuse, including the use of electric batons, leading to physical injury and incontinence. He was formally arrested by the Xinmin City Procuratorate in October 2026.

Multiple incidents were reported in Hebei Province, including the detentions of Li Yunxia in Yi County and Lan Lingjun in Gucheng County. In Baoding, authorities are reportedly collecting DNA information from practitioners, and police have been accused of harassing elderly individuals and demanding money from families.

Other reported incidents include house searches and harassment in Jilin, Shandong, Jiangxi, and Henan provinces.
