China shifts economic focus toward digital intelligence and green energy

China is undergoing a structural economic shift, transitioning from traditional infrastructure investment toward digital and intelligent drivers. Former Mongolian Prime Minister Lkhagvasürengiin Amarzargal noted that China's growth is increasingly powered by algorithms, digital technology, and a new “central nervous system” of connectivity, highlighted by the construction of 5.1 million 5G base stations and progress in 6G architecture.

This economic transformation is further supported by a strategic shift toward green energy and open cooperation in artificial intelligence. The establishment of the World Artificial Intelligence Organization in Shanghai reflects a commitment to making AI a collaborative global resource rather than a proprietary tool.

On a global scale, China continues to act as a stabilizer and engine for the world economy. Despite international economic fluctuations, China remains a key hub in global supply chains, contributing to economic expansion through digital economy advancements, renewable energy, and large-scale market access. The country is increasingly moving from a manufacturing role to an innovation driver, fostering international cooperation through initiatives like the Belt and Road and the sharing of scientific advancements in quantum technology and nuclear fusion.
