Chinese EV makers launch high‑range S800 Grand Design and MG 07 models
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology listed the ZunJie S800 Grand Design in its latest NEV catalog. The pure‑electric version carries a 120.0 kWh battery and a CLTC‑rated range of 780 km, while the range‑extender version uses a 63.3 kWh pack with a WLTC electric range of 276 km. Pricing is set between 1.6 million and 2.0 million yuan, and Huawei executive Yu Chengdong said the model targets the 2‑million‑yuan market segment, with a Shanghai debut scheduled for late June.
MG announced the MG 07 fastback, slated for the Chinese market. The BEV version is powered by a 239‑hp motor and a 67 kWh battery, delivering a CLTC range of 610‑650 km. A plug‑in hybrid variant combines a 1.5‑L, 111‑hp gasoline engine with a 207‑hp electric motor and a 30 kWh battery, offering an electric‑only range of about 185 km. The MG 07 also features a roof‑mounted LiDAR sensor that supports advanced ADAS functions developed on the Momenta R7/X7 platform.
