Chinese automaker Changan launches Italian-designed models in Italy
Chinese carmaker Changan, whose name combines the Chinese words for "long lasting" and "peace", confirmed its expansion into the European market in 2025 with a dedicated design centre in Turin that has operated since 2003. In Italy, sales director Giuseppe Graziuso said the company aims to build a network of 100 dealers within two years, already counting 45 quality operators and a parts hub in Verona.
Changan will initially offer the compact S05 Total Electric SUV and its ultra‑hybrid version, the flagship S07 electric model, and plans to introduce the family‑friendly Q05 later this year. The brand targets sales of 10,000 to 30,000 vehicles over the next three years, emphasizing high‑quality interiors, AI‑enhanced displays and a design conceived as "very European, very Italian".
