Changan Deepal S05 PHEV rolls out in Singapore and major European markets

Chinese automaker Changan has expanded its Deepal S05 line‑up with a plug‑in hybrid (PHEV) version that debuts in Singapore and several European countries. In Singapore the Deepal S05 is priced from S$187,999 and will be showcased at a public open house on 20‑21 June 2026.

In Europe the model is marketed under the “Ultra‑Hybrid” badge. It combines a 1.5‑litre Atkinson‑cycle gasoline engine (63 kW) with a 172 kW permanent‑magnet electric motor, delivering 190 kW (≈258 hp). An 18.4 kWh LFP battery provides up to 100 km of electric range and a total driving range of over 1,000 km. Fast‑charging support reaches 11 kW AC and 55 kW DC, and a Vehicle‑to‑Load function delivers up to 6 kW for external devices.

European pricing starts at €33,990 in Italy (Pro trim) and €24,990 in Germany with state subsidies, rising to about €35,990 for higher trims. Standard equipment includes a 15.4‑inch touchscreen, OTA updates, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Level‑2 ADAS with 17 driver‑assist systems, vegan‑leather upholstery, and a range of comfort features such as heated seats and optional AR‑HUD.

The model was developed with European input – design work in Turin and R&D in Birmingham – reflecting Changan’s “In Europe for Europe” strategy aimed at gaining credibility in the competitive C‑SUV segment.
