Chinese Energy Storage Companies Secure Over 11 GWh of Overseas Projects

Chinese firms CALB, Fox ESS and Cospowers have signed overseas energy‑storage contracts totaling more than 11.7 GWh. CALB agreed to supply a 220 MWh system for Japan’s Kitahama GRF, Fox ESS secured two 5 GWh deals with Australian distributors OSW and Solar Juice, and Cospowers delivered a 1.5 GWh (300 MW) power‑station phase in Bulgaria and entered a strategic partnership to develop large‑scale projects in Malaysia.

Separately, Chinese manufacturers BLUETTI, EcoFlow and Jackery are highlighted as the leading portable power‑station brands. The global market for these mobile storage units, valued at about $4.8 billion in 2025, is forecast to grow at 9.2% through 2030, driven by off‑grid demand, outdoor recreation and home backup needs. Each company emphasizes distinct technological strengths such as long‑life LiFePO₄ batteries, high‑power density and rapid charging, underscoring China’s expanding role in both utility‑scale and consumer‑level energy storage.
