Chinese automakers launch new 9-series flagship vehicles
Lantu Auto unveiled the Dreamer 9 MPV, positioning it as a "50 万级智尊旗舰MPV" with Chinese‑tradition‑inspired design elements such as dragon‑scale grille patterns and an L3‑level intelligent assistance system. The company highlighted the model's placement within a 30‑70 万 price range lineup and noted its recent China Design Gold Award.
Ideal Auto announced the i9, its first family‑focused pure‑electric flagship SUV, featuring a 5.2‑metre length and a 3.2‑metre wheelbase. The i9 will be offered with a special “Home” edition and is slated for a September release. The automaker also reported production figures for its existing models and previewed upcoming variants of the L6 series.
Both announcements reflect a broader push by Chinese manufacturers to expand premium electric MPV and SUV offerings ahead of the 2026 delivery targets.
