Chinese EV makers reveal new range figures for flagship models

Wenjie (问界) officially released live test results for its M9 Ultra five‑seat all‑electric SUV. On a round‑trip between Chongqing and Chengdu, the vehicle covered 630.6 km without recharging, achieving 88.1% of the claimed 715 km CLTC range under 41 °C ambient temperature, full passenger load and cargo. The test lasted 7 h 36 min, with an average consumption of 17.8 kWh/100 km. The M9, a large SUV about 5.3 m long and weighing roughly 3 030 kg, starts at 479,800 yuan.

Xiaomi’s Pengcheng series, a line of plug‑in hybrid SUVs, announced its longest CLTC pure‑electric range of 505 km and a maximum battery capacity of 76 kWh. The four models (N90 Max camping, N70, N70 Max, N90 Max) use a 1.5‑L M15DRE engine paired with electric motors up to 210 kW, and feature various body dimensions and weights ranging from 2 840 kg to 2 950 kg. The series is positioned as a daily electric vehicle with occasional gasoline use for longer trips.
