Chinese lecturer suspected of murdering and dismembering Chinese student in South Korea

South Korean police have requested an arrest warrant for a Chinese lecturer suspected of murdering and dismembering a 25-year-old Chinese graduate student at Gatuli University in Gyeongsan.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, allegedly killed the victim on August 20 and disposed of her remains across multiple locations, including Gyeonggi-do and Gyeongju. Investigators report that the suspect attempted to mislead authorities by filing false reports and dressing in women's clothing to travel via taxi.

While the suspect claimed the killing was an impulsive act during an argument between lovers, police are investigating whether the crime was premeditated. The suspect has reportedly refused to undergo a psychopathic personality diagnosis test. Authorities are currently searching for remaining remains and considering the public disclosure of the suspect's identity due to the nature of the crime.
