Chinese optical‑module leader InnoLight launches record H‑share IPO in Hong Kong

InnoLight (Zhongji Xuchuang), the world’s largest supplier of silicon‑photonic optical modules, announced the launch of its H‑share IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company plans to sell about 54.5 million shares at a maximum price of HK$1,010 per share, targeting net proceeds of roughly HK$545 billion (about US$70 billion), which would make it the biggest Hong Kong listing of the year.

The offering attracted a roster of cornerstone investors that includes Temasek, Abu‑Dhabi Investment Authority, BlackRock, Alibaba, Tencent, CPP Investments, Oaktree, IDG Capital and several other sovereign‑wealth and private‑equity funds, committing around US$34.5 billion. Proceeds are earmarked for 35 % research and development of optical‑interconnect products, 30 % expansion of global production capacity, 15 % strategic acquisitions and investments, and the remainder for supply‑chain resilience and general corporate purposes. The IPO is slated to debut on 30 July, with Goldman Sachs, CICC, Morgan Stanley and GF Securities acting as joint sponsors.
