Chinese romantic dramas scheduled for October release

Several Chinese romantic dramas are scheduled for release in October, featuring diverse settings such as the Republican era, historical estates, and fantasy cultivation worlds. These productions aim to blend romance with political intrigue and character growth.

One notable release, ‘Jade Autumn’ (Ngọc điệm thu), is set to premiere on October 12. Based on a novel by Ling Xi, the story follows Ye Bingjun (played by Xu Ruohan), a student seeking work to pay for her mother’s medical expenses, and Ngu Suong Hien (played by Cheng Lei), a powerful military commander. An assassination attempt forces the two into a tense alliance to find the culprit within ten days, evolving from mutual suspicion to romantic connection.

Another highlighted series, ‘The Golden Hairpin’ (Giá kim thoa), adapted from a novel by Xiao Jia Ren, features Tian Xiwei in dual roles involving identity swaps and complex marriage dynamics.
