Chinese television drama release trends
Overview
The Chinese television market is preparing for a competitive release schedule throughout October, featuring a wide variety of genres including historical epics, fantasy, crime investigations, and romantic dramas.
Early reports highlighted highly anticipated projects such as ‘Xiao Cheng Liang Fang’, starring Xiao Zhan, and ‘The Princess’, which follows a royal daughter and a scholar. Other notable upcoming titles included ‘Ga Jin Hua’, a rags-to-riches narrative.
As October progresses, the focus has expanded to include specific romantic productions. ‘Jade Autumn’ is scheduled to premiere on October 12, centering on an alliance between a student and a military commander.
