Chip Ganassi Racing to honor Alex Zanardi with iconic livery

Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) and DHL have announced that Alex Palou’s #10 Honda IndyCar will feature the iconic CGR lightning bolt livery during the season finale at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca from September 4–6, 2026.

The retro design serves as a tribute to the late racing legend Alex Zanardi. The event coincides with the 30th anniversary of “The Pass,” Zanardi’s famous maneuver through the Corkscrew during the 1996 season. Additionally, the weekend marks 30 years since CGR’s first championship, won by Jimmy Vasser, which was also Honda’s inaugural IndyCar title.
