Chipotle launches Pollo Asado and Chili Lime Chips
Chipotle Mexican Grill has launched two limited-time menu items simultaneously for the first time in its history: a revamped Pollo Asado and new Chili Lime Chips. The Pollo Asado features a refreshed recipe of grilled adobo chicken seasoned with garlic, Mexican spices, and cilantro, finished with a citrus and lime juice coating.
The Chili Lime Chips were developed in response to a viral social media trend where customers paired their meals with outside seasoned chips. According to the company, social media mentions of seasoned chips paired with Chipotle entrees have increased by over 1,500% since 2022. The new chips are made without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
Availability varies by region. In the United States and Canada, Pollo Asado returned on August 31, while Chili Lime Chips were released to Rewards members on August 31 before becoming available to the general public on September 4. In the United Kingdom, Pollo Asado was introduced as a limited-time offer at more than 20 Greater London locations starting September 1.
