CHP Denizli undergoes management change amid internal disputes
Internal friction has emerged within the Denizli provincial organization of the Republican People's Party (CHP). Engin Öz has raised concerns regarding party democracy, transparency, and the preservation of organizational will. Öz reported witnessing unprofessional conduct during a provincial board meeting on October 2, 2026, alleging that Provincial Chairman Ayhan Oran used authoritarian language and profanity.
Öz also criticized the labeling of party members based on personal allegiances and questioned the transparency of decisions regarding district appointments and the use of party resources.
In response to reports of mass resignations, the CHP Denizli Provincial Presidency issued a statement clarifying that the recent changes were not resignations but a formal management restructuring. The party stated that following disciplinary evaluations and a decision by the Central Executive Board (MYK) on October 14, 2026, certain provincial vice-presidents and board members had their duties terminated due to behaviors deemed contrary to party discipline. A new management team has since been appointed to ensure institutional continuity.
