CHP Hakkari Chair Suzan Çakırbeyli Tosses Dismissal Notice as Paper Airplane

Suzan Çakırbeyli, the former CHP provincial chair of Hakkâri, was removed from her post by the party's Central Executive Board. She held a press conference at the party's Hakkâri office, where she displayed the dismissal notice and folded it into a paper airplane, declaring, “I return this notice from Hakkâri at light speed.”

Çakırbeyli accused party officials of political maneuvering, rejected the language used by a party spokesperson, and defended CHP leader Özgür Özel. She vowed that the organization of the 26 provincial chairs would continue their struggle, pledging to represent workers, low‑wage earners, farmers and youth. The protest was framed as a symbolic act of defiance against the party’s central leadership.
