CHP spokesperson Müslim Sarı repeats copy‑paste remarks following arrests of Turkish mayors

Turkey's Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (CHP) spokesperson Müslim Sarı posted nearly identical statements on social media after police operations detained several CHP-affiliated mayors. The first operation, conducted by the Anadolu Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı, led to the arrest of Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, and Sarı's post echoed language he had previously used for the earlier detention of İzmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet.

A later raid in Etimesgut resulted in the detention of Mayor Erdal Beşikcioğlu, prompting Sarı to reuse the same wording, accusing the government of systematically targeting CHP municipalities and urging that judicial proceedings follow the rule of law without reliance on pre‑trial detention.
