Chris Sharma backs Barcelona's GRAVITEO Urban Sport Festival

Climbing legend Chris Sharma, a pioneer of modern sport climbing from the United States, will attend the GRAVITEO Urban Sport Festival in Barcelona. The event will host the European Bouldering Championship and the European Speed Cup, bringing together top European urban‑sport specialists.

Sharma’s Sharma Climbing centres in Barcelona, Gavà, Madrid and Zaragoza will serve as training venues for the athletes. He said, "Es un lujo tener un evento así" and "Es un honor poder colaborar con la organización y formar parte del evento", stressing the competition’s role in advancing climbing’s growth in Spain, especially in Catalonia, which boasts some of the world’s hardest routes and a year‑round climate.
