Chrissy Amphlett and Tim Finn lost recordings to be released

Three previously unreleased songs recorded by the late Divinyls frontwoman Chrissy Amphlett and Tim Finn are set for release on an EP titled ‘Some Times’. The recordings, which include the tracks ‘He’s In Love’, ‘Crash’, and ‘Sometimes’, were originally captured in 1998 during sessions in Sydney and New York.

Tim Finn discovered the tracks in his garage in 2023 after they were thought to be lost. The sessions were produced by Amphlett, Finn, and Amphlett’s husband, drummer Charley Drayton. The upcoming release is noted for showcasing a more intimate and fragile vocal style from Amphlett, contrasting with the high-energy rock performances that defined her career with Divinyls.

Finn described the 1998 collaboration as a period where Amphlett was seeking a new musical direction and a more personal creative language. The EP is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.
