Christian Eriksen collapses, recovers quickly in Denmark-Ukraine friendly

Christian Eriksen fell unconscious during the 65th minute of a friendly match between Denmark and Ukraine. Medical staff responded immediately; he regained consciousness, walked to the ambulance on his own and left the pitch unaided. Doctors confirmed his implanted cardioverter‑defibrillator (ICD) functioned correctly and did not require intervention.

Eriksen was transported to a nearby hospital for further tests to determine the cause of the episode. The incident recalls his 2021 Euro knockout, when a cardiac arrest on the field led to the implantation of the ICD that has since allowed him to continue his professional career.
