Christmas markets scheduled for Osaka and Sendai in 2026

Multiple Christmas markets are scheduled to take place across Japan in late 2026.

In Osaka, the ‘Christmas Market in Osaka Ten-Shiba 2026’ will be held at Tennoji Park from November 20 to December 25. The event will feature 24 stalls offering German-style gourmet food, sweets, and drinks, such as sausages, goulash, and hot cocoa. Attendees can enjoy themed illuminations, including a light tunnel and large Christmas trees, as well as musical performances featuring artists like Emiko Suzuki. Admission is free, though food and drink are paid.

In Sendai, the ‘Sendai Christmas Market 2026’ will celebrate its fifth anniversary at Nishikicho Park from December 4 to December 25. The market will feature wooden huts inspired by European traditions, offering seasonal food and original merchandise. While admission is generally free, a cooperation fee including an original mug is required on specific dates. Children of elementary school age and younger can enter for free.
