Christopher Street Day events held in Erfurt and Wuppertal

Christopher Street Day (CSD) events were held in the German cities of Erfurt and Wuppertal in September 2026.

In Erfurt, the celebrations included a parade through the city center to promote equality and acceptance. The event featured an ecumenical prayer service held at the St. Severi Church, led by Protestant and Catholic pastors under the theme ‘Empowerment and Resilience’.

In Wuppertal, the CSD demonstration was scheduled for September 12, 2026, under the motto ‘Queer life needs allies’. The event aimed to advocate for equality, democratic values, and safety for the LGBTQ+ community. The demonstration was planned to move from Johannes-Rau-Platz through Elberfeld toward the main station, followed by an official party featuring drag shows and music.
