Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres completes fire‑reconstruction housing and delivers school equipment in Esquel
Governor Ignacio Torres of Argentina’s Chubut province handed over the final seven homes built for families whose houses were destroyed by the summer forest fires in the town of El Hoyo. The 40‑square‑metre units include two bedrooms, full plumbing and heating systems designed for the region’s winter conditions, fulfilling the province’s promise to provide permanent housing before the cold season.
In a separate ceremony in Esquel, the provincial lottery agency Lotería del Chubut, together with municipal mayor Matías Taccetta and IAS president Ramiro Ibarra, delivered computers, printers, projectors, sound equipment and other school‑room furnishings to eight local schools and additional community institutions. The aid follows Governor Torres’ broader social‑assistance program aimed at strengthening health, education and sport facilities throughout the province.
