Chubut to acquire eight new fire trucks for emergency response

Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres signed an agreement with the provincial Federation of Volunteer Firefighters to acquire eight new vehicles to strengthen forest fire fighting and emergency response capabilities.

The agreement includes a non-reimbursable contribution of $692,500. The funds will be used to purchase four water tankers and four forest fire engines for various local fire stations across the province.

Governor Torres emphasized the state's responsibility to provide necessary tools to ensure the safety of volunteer firefighters and to optimize the community's response to emergencies.
