Church in Bušince burglarized, over 1,100 euros stolen
The Church of Saint Constantine and Empress Helen in the village of Bušince, near Kosovska Kamenica, was burglarized during the night between Thursday and Friday. Perpetrators broke into the donation box, stealing more than 1,100 euros.
Nebojša Simić, president of the church committee, reported that the investigation was conducted by local police in the presence of parish priest Protojerej Srđan Milenković and several villagers. Simić noted that the community is deeply unsettled by the incident and emphasized that the church currently lacks adequate security, calling for the installation of cameras and dedicated staff.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija described the robbery as an example of a deteriorating security situation in the region, stating that Serbian churches, women, and children are increasingly being targeted.
