CIFIT concludes in Xiamen with record international participation

The 26th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) concluded on September 11 in Xiamen, Fujian Province. The event saw historic levels of international participation, with delegations from 129 countries and regions and more than 1,200 government agencies and business groups in attendance. Notably, 48 of the world’s top 50 economies sent representatives, and Finland and Saudi Arabia served as the dual guest countries of honor.

A major focus of this year’s fair was the Cross-Strait Integration and Development Exhibition Zone, which aimed to deepen economic and trade cooperation between mainland China and Taiwan. The zone highlighted five key industries: semiconductors, precision machinery, biopharmaceuticals, financial services, and consumer food.

The fair also featured an expanded financial exhibition area covering 25,000 square meters, involving 140 institutions. This included a zone for the Cross-border Interbank Payment System, which brought together 74 globally systemically important and regional leading banks from 46 countries to support cross-border RMB settlement and trade facilitation. The event attracted over 100,000 business visitors.
