CIGED Venezuela 2026 summit to focus on digital economy

The first edition of the International Summit on Public Management and Digital Economy (CIGED Venezuela 2026) is scheduled to take place from October 12 to 17. The event will be hosted across three cities: Valencia, Maracay, and Caracas.

The summit aims to bring together specialists, municipal representatives, academics, and the private sector to exchange expertise on public management, technology, and the digital economy. The agenda includes workshops and lectures covering topics such as cybersecurity, Big Data, digital logistics, and smart governments.

Rey Ramoní Rodríguez, director of Business at Fedeindustria Aragua and president of Cavecom-e Aragua, noted that the summit will introduce a new dynamic for Venezuela by facilitating networking and knowledge exchange between municipalities from various Ibero-American countries, including Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and Uruguay. The participation of the Ibero-American Union of Municipalities (UIM) is expected to help establish links between municipal representatives to address contemporary public management challenges.
