CIGED 2026 summit in Venezuela

Overview

Venezuela is set to host the inaugural International Summit on Public Management and Digital Economy (CIGED) from October 12 to 17, 2026. The event will be held across the cities of Valencia, Maracay, and Caracas.

Under the theme ‘Public management, GovTech and digital economy for the governance of the future’, the summit intends to gather approximately 1,200 specialists, academics, government authorities, and business representatives. Key discussion topics include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, Big Data, digital finance, e-commerce, and smart government development.

Organized by Grupo Benflor with support from the Ibero-American Union of Municipalities and the Spanish institution ALEPH, the summit aims to facilitate networking and knowledge exchange. Rey Ramoní Rodríguez, president of Cavecom-e Aragua, noted that the event will create new dynamics by linking municipal representatives from various Ibero-American countries, such as Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and Uruguay, to address modern public management challenges.
