Vietnam advances major infrastructure and economic development projects

Vietnam is experiencing significant economic and infrastructural developments across various sectors. In the industrial and commercial sectors, several provinces report positive growth, with industrial production indices rising and FDI inflows increasing, particularly in manufacturing. Major corporations like Vinamilk celebrate 50 years of growth, while the government implements new criteria for green and circular projects to support sustainable development.

Infrastructure projects are a major focus. The Long Thành International Airport is accelerating construction, with plans for trial operations in late 2026. The Bến Lức - Long Thành expressway is nearing completion, aiming for full opening by September 2026. Additionally, discussions are underway regarding the expansion of the North-South expressway and the allocation of local funds for the Gia Nghĩa - Chơn Thành highway.

On the policy front, the Politburo has issued resolutions to restructure national development spaces, moving away from purely administrative boundaries toward potential-based regional connectivity. The government also plans to support businesses and citizens with nearly 345 trillion VND in tax and fee relief to maintain macroeconomic stability.
