Cinema events announced in Tolentino and Siena

In Tolentino, director Marco Bechis will present his film “Ritorno a Buenos Aires” at the Multiplex Giometti. The screening is part of the “Decima Musa” project organized by the Tolentino University for the Third Age. The film, which was presented at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, explores the historical and political complexities of the “desaparecidos.” It follows an Argentine doctor, played by Adriano Giannini, who returns to Argentina in 2008 to testify against the torturers who kidnapped and enslaved him decades earlier.

Meanwhile, the Terra di Siena International Film Festival is preparing to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The festival is scheduled to run from October 12 to 17, 2026. A press conference at Palazzo delle Papesse will unveil the official program, which includes feature films, documentaries, and short films, as well as the announcement of international guests and jurors for the Sanese d’Oro and Seguso awards.
