Cinisello Balsamo: Newborn found alive in plastic bag
A newborn baby was discovered alive inside a plastic bag in Cinisello Balsamo, a suburb of Milan, Italy. The discovery occurred on Monday afternoon when a 58-year-old woman, while walking her dog, noticed the animal pulling insistently toward a blue plastic bag abandoned near a tree.
Upon inspecting the bag, the woman found the infant wrapped in blood-stained white cloth. A passerby assisted in keeping the child warm with a sweatshirt until emergency services arrived. Reports indicate the baby, a boy weighing approximately four kilograms, had been born only a few hours prior to the discovery.
Guido Bertolaso, a regional social affairs advisor, confirmed that the placenta was also found inside the bag. The infant was immediately transported to a hospital for emergency medical treatment.
