CIOFS-FP ETS to host seminar on the future of vocational training

The 38th edition of the CIOFS-FP ETS Europe Seminar is scheduled to take place in Rome on October 15-16, 2026. Titled ‘The future of IeFP: an agenda for the next legislature’, the event will focus on the development of the Regional Vocational Education and Training (IeFP) system.

Foundation President Sister Manuela Robazza noted that the seminar arrives at a critical juncture, preceding political elections and marking the transition between European programming cycles (2021-2027 and 2028-2034), which will introduce changes to the governance and resources of the European Social Fund. The discussions will utilize demographic and occupational data to examine vocational training as a strategic tool for innovation, competitiveness, and social inclusion.

The program includes contributions from various experts and institutions, including representatives from ISTAT, Unioncamere, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, and Confindustria.
