Circuit of the Americas unveils world's largest cowboy hat

Circuit of the Americas (COTA) and Austin-based Westernwear brand Tecovas have unveiled the “World’s Largest Cowboy Hat” at the Texas racing circuit. The structure, a to-scale recreation of the Tecovas Cattleman hat, measures 43 feet wide, 47 feet long, and 17 feet tall.

Constructed from fiberglass and foam over a steel frame, the monument features a textured finish and branding designed to look like an iron brand. Beyond its decorative purpose, the hat houses a fully operational Western-themed bar underneath, which will be accessible to ticket holders during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix weekend.

COTA Chairman Bobby Epstein stated the attraction is intended to serve as a distinctive tourist landmark that reflects Texas identity and provides a gathering space for fans. The installation was officially certified by Guinness World Records onsite on October 19, 2026.
