Circus Performer Injured by Arrow at Orange County Fair in New York

During a cross‑bow shooting act at the Orange County Fair in Wallkill, New York, 42‑year‑old Ana B. Daza Tavera shot an arrow at a foam target held by fellow performer Edwin A. Cuervo Rangel, 38. The arrow struck Cuervo Rangel, who was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center and arrived in stable condition.

New York State Police are investigating the incident and have asked witnesses to come forward. Circus Murcia owner Alexander Murcia released a statement confirming the performer’s condition, saying, "Our performer is safe and in stable condition following surgery at the hospital and will make a full recovery," and that remaining shows will continue.
