Cirebon and NTB Provinces Ensure PPPK Salaries Through 2026, Introduce Direct Payment System
The Cirebon regency in West Java announced that payroll for contract civil servants (PPPK) is fully funded through the end of 2026. Budget allocations cover the entire salary obligation, including the 13th‑month pay, even though staff expenditures represent about 38 % of the region’s total budget. As regional head Ade Nugroho said, "Untuk Kabupaten Cirebon aman. Gaji PPPK sudah dianggarkan satu tahun penuh, termasuk gaji ke‑13."
In the neighboring province of Nusa Tenggara Barat, authorities changed the way PPPK salaries are disbursed. Payments that previously went through Bank NTB Syariah are now routed directly via the local BPR Perseroda, making NTB the first province to apply the Ministry of Home Affairs’ direct‑payment rule. BPR NTB director Faesal explained, "Di BPR lain secara nasional, dana gaji biasanya ditampung terlebih dahulu … Sedangkan di tempat kami, dana dari kas daerah langsung masuk ke rekening masing‑masing PPPK di BPR NTB," while employees will continue to receive funds in their NTB Syariah accounts until electronic services are available at the BPR.
