Ciro Gomes leads second‑round Ceará governor poll with 53% support

An Atlas/Focus poll released on 15 June surveyed 1,223 voters in Ceará between 9 and 14 June. The poll shows former minister Ciro Gomes (PSDB) ahead with 53.2% of voting intention against incumbent governor Elmano de Freitas (PT) at 44.9% for a possible second‑round contest. Blank and null votes account for 1.8% and 0.1% respectively. The margin of error is three percentage points with 95% confidence. Compared with an April poll, Gomes rose 3.1 points while Freitas gained two points. Among valid votes, Gomes holds 54.2% to Freitas’ 45.8%. In the first round the two were tied at 45.8% and 44.8%. Minor candidates each garnered under 5% of support.
