Citroën Brazil recalls C3 Aircross models as it unveils Aircross XTR SUV

Citroën announced a recall in Brazil for the 2025 Basalt and C3 Aircross models to replace the intake‑manifold body. The defect could cause obstruction of the collector and potentially lead to non‑compliance with emission regulations. The free repair, lasting about four hours, can be performed at any Citroën dealership starting 25 August 2025, with no set deadline for completion.

At the same time, the automaker introduced the Aircross XTR, a seven‑seat SUV positioned as a family‑oriented minivan to compete with the Chevrolet Spin. Launched at the end of 2023, the XTR trim adds black‑green exterior stickers, new 17‑inch darkened wheels, a black‑painted roof and interior stitching in matching tones. Priced around R$156,490 (discounted to R$138,690 in some cases), the model retains the Aircross’s core mechanicals while targeting the niche of compact multi‑seat utility vehicles.
