Citroën initiates Europe-wide recall of 2022‑2025 models over fuel‑leak fire hazard

Citroën has launched a recall covering several recent models produced between 2022 and 2025 after identifying a defect in the high‑pressure fuel pipe that could allow fuel to leak and, in extreme cases, cause a fire. The issue appears to stem from bolts that may not have been correctly tightened during manufacturing.

The recall, coded GJ6 and announced through the European Safety Gate system and Portugal’s Direção‑Geral do Consumidor, includes the C3 Aircross V3, C3 V5, C4 V3, C4X, C5 Aircross, C5 Aircross V2, C5X and Basalt. Owners are advised to check their VIN with an authorised dealer; repairs are provided free of charge.
