Citroën launches affordable e‑C3X electric SUV in India with battery‑as‑service pricing

Citroën India unveiled the e‑C3X electric compact SUV on 17 June 2026. The model measures 3 981 mm in length, comparable to the Toyota Raize, and introduces a Battery‑as‑a‑Service (BaaS) scheme that separates the battery cost from the vehicle price. With BaaS the entry price drops to 69.8 lakh rupees (≈118 k yen), while the conventional purchase price is 119.9 lakh rupees. Battery EMI is charged at 2.26 rupees per kilometre. The e‑C3X offers a 57 hp permanent‑magnet motor with 143 Nm torque, DC fast charging from 10 % to 80 % in about 57 minutes, and a running cost of roughly 0.19 rupee per kilometre. Pre‑orders are now open in India.

In Greece, Citroën reduced the price of the C3 Aircross SUV to €18 900 for the base gasoline version, with hybrid and fully electric variants priced from €23 500. The seven‑seat C3 Aircross features advanced comfort suspension, a 10.25‑inch infotainment screen, head‑up display and other driver‑assist technologies, targeting families seeking a spacious yet affordable vehicle. The price cut follows the brand’s broader strategy to make its C‑segment SUVs more accessible in European markets.
