Italian consumers prioritize food practicality and quality

A YouGov study commissioned by Citterio reveals that 8 out of 10 Italians prioritize practicality, quality, and taste in the kitchen as they return to post-holiday routines. The research, based on a sample of 1,035 people, shows that 64% of respondents spend no more than 30 minutes preparing lunch, while 58% do the same for dinner. While many seek healthier habits after vacations, meal management remains a source of stress for 35% of the population.

Separately, an event organized by Fondazione Lottomatica at the Chamber of Deputies addressed the role of economic journalism. A SWG survey presented during the meeting found that while 89% of Italians follow economic and financial news, only 31% regularly consult specialized sources, preferring generalist media and social networks. Senator Antonio Misiani emphasized the importance of journalists acting as a bridge between complex data and the public to prevent political misinterpretation of economic figures.
