The Skopje City Council has approved a budget rebalance, increasing the city's primary budget by 61.76 million denars to a total of 5,324,649,755 denars. Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski stated the increase results from financial discipline and cost reductions.

Key infrastructure projects include a 420 million denar investment for a new bridge and road connecting the Saraj and Gjorce Petrov municipalities, intended to create a new entrance to the city. Additionally, 61 million denars are allocated for the ‘Skopje – European Capital of Culture 2028’ preparations.

The budget also provides for: - Support for oncology patients. - 25 million denars for street reconstruction in Skopje municipalities. - 10 million denars for landfill cleaning. - Funding for schools, including IT equipment, furniture, and sports areas.

Alongside increased investment, the administration reported a significant reduction in financial obligations. According to Gjorgjievski, total liabilities for the City of Skopje, public enterprises, cultural institutions, and secondary schools have decreased by 60.2 million euros as of August 27.
