Ciudad Juárez pedestrian injured by police vehicle

A pedestrian was injured in Ciudad Juárez after being struck by a municipal police vehicle. The incident occurred at the intersection of Bulevar Zaragoza and Violetas street near the Morelos III neighborhood.

The victim, who had just exited a public transit bus, was hit by patrol unit 623 while attempting to cross the street. The impact threw the individual several meters onto the asphalt. Emergency responders provided first aid at the scene before transporting the victim to Hospital General number 66 of the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social for specialized medical treatment. Traffic authorities and experts are investigating the circumstances of the accident, including the use of confined lanes, to determine responsibility.
