JMAS closes De las Torres lane for drainage pipe work in Ciudad Juárez

The Juárez Water and Sanitation Board (JMAS) will complete the final connection of a drainage pipe that diverts the Talamás‑Camandari collector on Sunday, 26 July, from 05:00 to 09:00. Work will be carried out on the low‑speed lane of Avenida De las Torres, between Los Bravos 2000 and Bulevar Manuel Talamás Camandari, requiring a temporary lane closure and the shutdown of access to a nearby shopping centre. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes via Los Bravos 2000 on the eastern side of the centre and the boulevard in both directions.

In a separate operation, JMAS is repairing a sinkhole on Avenida Ponciano Arriaga in the Revolución Mexicana neighbourhood. The collapse of a 24‑inch concrete sanitary pipe, weakened by recent rains, prompted the replacement of roughly 30 metres of pipe and the closure of a three‑block stretch of the avenue. Detour signs and barriers guide traffic around the work zone, and water supply and drainage services remain uninterrupted.
