Ciudad Juárez implements large-scale cleaning and infrastructure programs

The municipal government of Ciudad Juárez has launched several initiatives focused on urban maintenance and community development. Through the ‘Juárez Amanece Limpio’ program, authorities have reached 90 neighborhoods, removing over 16,000 tons of waste, including debris, soil, and nearly 38,000 tires, to improve public spaces and drainage systems.

In addition to sanitation, the city is managing the 2027 Participatory Budget process, allowing residents to propose infrastructure and social projects with a projected budget of approximately 432.5 million pesos. The deadline for submissions is October 30.

Public works officials have also addressed urban challenges, acknowledging the long-term need for significant investment in storm drainage infrastructure to mitigate recurring flooding. Meanwhile, the municipal administration continues to emphasize transparency and anti-corruption measures, highlighted by recent international recognitions for the city's information access and oversight mechanisms.
