Ciudad Real announces 23.6 million euro investment for municipalities

The Diputación de Ciudad Real has announced a new economic injection of more than 23.6 million euros intended for the province's municipalities. This funding will be used for municipal investments, current expenditure financing, direct subsidies for town halls, and interventions in the provincial road network.

Spokesperson Rocío Zarco stated that this credit modification will be presented to the Plenary on September 4. The initiative is part of a broader goal set by President Miguel Ángel Valverde to transfer over 100 million euros to provincial municipalities by the end of 2026. The new allocation includes a 10 million euro Works Plan, which complements existing ordinary and extraordinary works plans.

In a separate engagement, President Valverde visited the town of Navalpino during its patron saint festivities for San Bartolomé. During the visit, he emphasized that the institution's commitment to small municipalities extends beyond financial support to include cultural and traditional solidarity, specifically recognizing the efforts of local leaders in towns with small populations.
