Ciudad Real Territorial Innovation Center receives 850,000 euro boost
The Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real have signed an agreement to expand the development of the Territorial Innovation Center (CIT) in the province.
The agreement involves a total investment of 850,000 euros, with MITECO contributing 510,000 euros and the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real providing 340,000 euros. This funding aims to consolidate the center's operations and implement policies addressing the demographic challenge, innovation, and rural development.
Key upcoming initiatives include the creation of the Provincial Forum for Rural Development, a participatory space for local action groups, development agencies, and rural and women's associations. Located at the Diputación's Fair Institute, the CIT will serve as a reference node for potential local or regional innovation centers and act as a support point for rural entrepreneurship.
