Ciudad Real unveils official 2026 Pandorga poster

The city of Ciudad Real held an official ceremony at the Museo López‑Villaseñor to launch the first official poster for the 2026 Pandorga festival. Local artist Ángel Barroso Crespo presented an oil‑on‑canvas painting that will serve as the festival’s emblem, while Javier Naharro Arteche led the exaltation of the celebration. Mayor Francisco Cañizares praised the initiative, saying it “viene a mejorar, a reforzar la participación de la Hermandad de Pandorgos en la Pandorga, pero también a mejorar sustancialmente lo que es la fiesta,” and added that “Convertir la imagen de la Pandorga en una obra de arte constituye una gran idea.” Municipal officials, representatives of the regional government and members of the Hermandad de Pandorgos attended the event.

The festival programme, running from 1 July to 1 August 2026, includes a slate of concerts, cultural activities, guided tours and a floral offering in honour of the Virgen del Prado. Antonio Martín Císcar has been named the 2026 pandorgo and Andrea León Zapata the dulcinea. Highlights feature summer‑band concerts, a big‑band performance at the Puerta de Toledo, a beneficent PacoRock festival, and public visits to the underground galleries of the Arco del Torreón.
